Module 1

During the attendance week in July you will receive the lessons below. Together they provide preparation for playing the harp therapeutically, enabling you to work with people in a variety of settings. In the following year you will take the entire study material and be given homework assignments. These assignments consist of reading, watching videos from lessons from the United States, making your portfolio step by step and recording songs and improvisations in the various modes.

You will be:
Playing the modes: Dorian, Aeolian, Mixolydian, Ionian, Lydian, Phrygian and the Middle Eastern and Angel modes
Improvising using the modes
You will learn about:
The Muses
Empathic listening
Self - knowledge and effective communication skills using NLP and Transactional Analysis
Sound and acoustics, The Mozart Effect
Alexander Technique
Hospice and hospital etiquette
Music therapy and harp therapy
Cymatics
Anatomy
Marketing

Homework will include:
Recordings in all the modes (improvisations from a song)
Your report from attending the study week
Book reports (12 in total, covering Modules 1 and 2)
Reading Christina Tourin’s book, ‘The Cradle of Sound’ (1 of 12 from your reading list)
Creating your portfolio
40 hours Internship to include your Internship report
Your personal Mentor:
Every student will be guided by a Mentor who is a graduate of IHTP. The Mentor will give15 hours support and guidance for each student throughout the Module 1 and 2 trainings. If the student needs more hours, he/she will pay extra to the Mentor.

Costs:
Module 1 : 1495,00 Euro's for 1 attendance week and 1 year study.
Module 2: 1495,00 Euro's for 1 attendance week and 1 year study.


Food and drink:
There will be a cooked and served vegetarian lunch and dinner every day at a cost of 35,00 Euro's per day, inclusive of all drinks.

When you register you will get an accommodation list where you can book a B&B or hotel in the area.
